WHat's Happening In Class This Week.
Projects are due this week on the United State Constitutional Amendments - Students are also presenting their Public Service Announcements (PSA) on an Amendment.

We will finish the semester focusing on The United States Constitution Amendments. Students will be putting together a Public Service Announcement on a selected amendment. Remember that Semester Exams will be on December 16,17 & 18. Study guides for the exam are posted on Google Classroom as "Extended Responses".
Being a short week because of Thanksgiving, we will have a quiz covering the bones including amendments of the United States Constitution.
There is no school on Monday, November 9 because of Professional Development for teachers. We will be studying the "Bones of The Constitution" which include the 7 Articles and 7 Principles. Friday, November 13 is the second of three blood drives encouraging seniors to give or work the Blood Drive for community service.
We are studying the United States Constitution with an emphasis on the Bill of Rights and the Principles. Students are actually producing songs that explain their assigned Amendment from the Bill of Rights. It should be an interesting week.
Students are working political issues and learning about the Electoral College. We are also going to start studying the U.S Constitution with this week's emphasis on The Bill of Rights.
Government students will finish looking at Political Parties and start discussing Election Issues. They will have a quiz by the end the week that will cover documents like the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederations, Northwest Ordinance, Federalists and Anti-Federalist papers.
There is no school on Monday, October 12 and Tuesday, October 13. There is also late arrival on Wednesday, October 13. This week we will start a new unit on Political Parties and Voting. Yes, just in time for elections. We will have a quiz on Historical Documents on Friday, October 16 (A Day) and Monday, October 19 (B Day).
Students are doing a very rigorous assignment as they prepare to debate the Anti-Federalists and Federalists. They have and will continue to prepare for the debate by reading and discussing essays writing by both sides. The nine weeks ends on Friday and all acceptable late work and tests must be in by Tuesday 10-6-15.
This week students will be finishing the Northwest Ordinance assignment which will be due during the period. We will start discussing and taking notes on the History of the Constitution. We will also start a project on the Federalist Papers which will be due next week.
