WHat's Happening In Class This Week.
Government students will have a test on the "Origins of Government". They will be able to do extra credit to make up the questions they missed on the previous quiz. We are also going to wrap up the "Declaration of Independence" and start the Article of Confederation.

This week Government classes will starts with a day off because teachers have professional development. Students will be introduced to important documents such as the Declarations of Independence, Article of Confederations, Northwest Ordinance and The Constitution. We will be taking a test next week covering "Origins of Government".
The week begins with a day off due to Labor Day. Students will be quizzed over the "Origins of Government" which can be found on "Google Classroom". Friday is the Blood Drive in which many of our seniors will be participating. Students have a homework assignment on "Federalism" due when they return to class on Wednesday (A-Day) or Thursday (B-Day).
Students finished the "Country Projects" and grades should be all posted by the end of the week. We will be discussing in class the different types of governments and economic systems. We will also have an in class assignment on "Minority vs. Majority Rights" and will have a homework and class assignment on "Federalism". The "Federalism assignments will be due the following week.
Students are working on their "Country Projects" which are due on Thursday, August 27 for A-Day students and Friday August 28 for B-Day students. We will also cover the "Principles of Government" - power point. Students have access to both the Country Project and power point on Google Classroom.
